Invitation to the 6th ComitasInterGentes Meeting in München

With C.I.G. to the south of Germany.

At pre-Christmas time it takes us to the wonderful christmassy Munich this time. And it’s for a whole weekend. According to the season and Bavarian culture we have thought about a snugly and rustic program.

Adequate to C.I.G. we stay overnight at the House International, a youth and guest house in the middle of Schwabing’s center.

Friday, 19th of December: Individual arrival to Munich

At 7 pm get-together in the House International

About 8 pm everybody should have arrived.

 

Saturday, 20th of December:

After a relaxed started day and a tasty breakfast we go on a guided tour through the Old Town of Munich. Meeting point is the fish fountain at the Marienplatz at 10.30 am.

Costs for 1,5 hours: approx. 10,00 Euro per person.

Because fresh air and exercise stimulate the appetite we could have lunch at the cafe Glockenspiel at 12.30 pm so that we can warm up again while having a white coffee or tea.

We needn’t to do without the view of the romantic Christkindlmarkt and the town hall because the cafe Glockenspiel is located highly above the roofs of Munich, directly opposite to the town hall and the famous carillon.

Afterwards we leave to a very special Christmas market: the Tollwood Winterfestival on the Theresienwiese. It’s a mixture between a cultural festival and ecological projects.

Here you can find biological treats and tents like the bar called „deep in the forest“ where you can sit snugly on one of the tree trunks and listen to the unique llive music.

 

                                                                                                                                                          
Maybe you can find the last small Christmas presents in the bazar tents.

Around 7.30 pm we move on to one of the nice bars of Schwabingen, the Schwabinger Wassermann, where we spend an enjoyable evening together.

 

 

Sunday, 21st of December:  Common breakfast.
Afterwards there is the opportunity to walk around the Olympiapark that is only 5 walking minutes away. In good weather you have a fantastic view from the Olympia mountain where you can say goodbye to Munich.
