Invitation to the 7th ComitasInterGentes Meeting in Leipzig

 

Date: 27.02. until 01.03.2009

Leipzig expects the visit of its CIG friends in the last week of February.

On the occasion of this visit a comprehensive cultural program is prepared.

Program:

Friday, 27.02.:    

·       arrival

·       from 7 pm get-together at:

Central-Globetrotter

Kurt-Schumacher-Straße 4

04105 Leipzig

·       if required and when the weather is fine we can have a view to Leipzig from the viewing platform of the city high-riser/City Hochhaus (MDR tower)

·       at 8 pm cosy get-together at Leo's Brasserie to get into the mood and to know each other

Saturday, 28.02.:

·       after a relaxed started day we visit the monument of the battle of nations (Völkerschlachtdenkmal)

meeting point in the Central-Globetrotter at 10.00 am 

·       afterwards we go on a guided tour through Leipzig to get to know some buildings and monuments of this trade fair city that are worth seeing

(from St. Nicholas' Church, Cloth Hall, opera and central station to St. Thomas' Church)

·       in the evening we end the day with a cozy note at the Brewery of the St. Thomas' Church

Sunday, 01.03.:

·       breakfast and departure

Everybody is responsible for his own reservation.

Everybody is invited to spend this weekend with us. Non-members are also welcome!

Please contact Rudi Schmidt (R.Cardoso@t-online.de) or Diana Schreib (dianaschreib@hotmail.com) so that we can plan the exact number of participants. Please join a car pool with people from your region to travel to the meeting in an environmentally friendly way.
